Mohammad Mahfujul Haque is based at the Department of Aquaculture, Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU, since 2000) where he teaches and researches aquaculture. His main research area is ‘Aquaculture Systems and Development’ combining studies in the natural and social sciences. His research work is highly interdisciplinary and includes studies on the pond environment, poverty, food security, aquatic food safety and climate change. Mahfujul specializes in participatory research and in-depth investigations, applying multivariate analyses based on the Sustainable Livelihoods Framework (SLF), Actor Network Theory (ANT) and Sustainability Assessment of Food and Agriculture (SAFA) to his work. Mahfujul has been involved in a number of national and international research projects collaborating with scientists in different countries.
